Growth and Environmental Management (GEM) is a
group of divisions and programs within Leon County which provides one-stop permitting and processing
services related to development activities. In order to assist you, staff
has developed this site as a guide through the permitting and processing
services. If you are familiar with Leon County permitting, you can use
our Fast Track links to download the permit application you need.
GEM's offices, which are located
on the second floor of the Renaissance
Center at 435 N. Macomb Street, also include a large conference room that is available for use by Leon
County and City of Tallahassee employees and community-based organizations as a
