How do I apply for this service?
To set up your company for this service, you will need to establish an operating account with our office. All we need is your contractor’s license number, a notarized letter signed by the licensee listing who is authorized to obtain permits for the company and prepayment into a reserve account that will be debited as you obtain permits.

Additionally, Leon County offers an internet option for obtaining certain types of permits.  Included in the permit options available online are solar photovoltaic and solar thermal installations.  To qualify for this permitting option, you will need to have a master file established.  This master file should include two complete sets of manufacturers installation instructions, along with electrical installation plans and plumbing plans for thermal installations.  Both sets of plans will be reviewed for compliance with all applicable construction codes.  One set will be retained by the County as a "master" and one set returned for on-site inspections.
